Elephant and the Tea cup

An overdue update to the blog. I've been pretty busy with my new job. I'm a layout artist and background painter and the project they got me to work on was awesome!! Can't show anything yet until the thing airs, but I'll keep you all posted. :)

This piece is a surprise for my boyfriends dad. Still need to colour it before I give it to him, but thought I would post up the sketches and the process draws.

Angry Birds

Well not entirely angry birds, but this was inspired by the game. It's so addictive. I play it way to much. These were fun to do. I still think the blue guy is my favourite. :D

Baby

I've been enjoying having a nephew. I got a lot of inspiration from him. The other babies are just ones i did for fun and wanted to try a different style.

Welcome to the Family

Hey Everyone! Man it's been a busy week. My sister and your husband gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Tuesday. It's their first child so congratulations to the both of them!

I decided that I am going to surprise them tomorrow with this. It's been awhile since I have done a traditional painting and it took a little getting used to. It's more challenging then I remember, but was fun :) This was done in gouache and took me a few hours.
